The application period for the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon was January 14–February 14, 2019. The entry drawing is taking place on February 27, 2019, and NYRR profiles are being updated on a rolling basis throughout the day. Application status will be updated in each runner's NYRR profile. All applicants will be notified of their entry status via email by 11:59 p.m. ET on February 27.
Accepted runners see a charge to their credit card for the entry fee. If your credit card is charged for the full race fee, you have been accepted into the race. You may be charged before you receive an email confirming your status or before your status changes in your NYRR profile.
Please note that you must have had a valid card set as your default payment method by 11:59 p.m. on February 26, 2019, to have a chance to get a spot in the race.

The TCS New York City Marathon brings together a diverse field of runners from the NYC area and beyond. The non-guaranteed entry drawing helps preserve the geographic diversity of the race.
The entries available to non-guaranteed applicants were filled through three drawings (“Drawings”), held this year on February 27, 2019, one in each of the following applicant pools:
- “NYC-metro area” applicants (i.e. residents in and within 60 miles of New York City)
- “National” applicants (i.e. U.S. residents outside of the NYC-metro area, including Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories)
- “International” applicants (i.e. non-U.S. residents)
