Traveling to New York, and finding a great place to stay, is easy with New York Road Runners' travel partners. Find out how to make your Big Apple trip in comfort and style.
Registration for baggage options for the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon will be available in late spring 2018. Options will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis so we can safely manage the post-race flow of runners.
It is important that you take your assigned transportation to the start on race day. Whether you are making the journey by bus or ferry to Staten Island, opting to travel at a time you are not assigned for means you are impacting the capacity of that transport. That affects the safety of other runners, our staff, volunteers, and city transit partners. We appreciate your cooperation in helping the event run as smoothly as possible.
Running for a charity not only provides you with guaranteed entry, it also gives you the opportunity to change lives and give back to your community. Stay tuned for information about the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon Official Charity Partner program.
All TCS New York City Marathon fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your entry, it cannot be reinstated for the current year's TCS New York City Marathon.
The safety of runners and spectators is New York Road Runners' highest priority. We are fortunate to work in close collaboration with the NYPD and our federal, state, and city agency partners to ensure the safety of all of our events.
In order to ensure the safety of all TCS New York City Marathon participants, spectators, and partners, NYRR has added two categories of items to its list of prohibited objects at all race-week and race-day events. As always, all bags and items entering TCS New York City Marathon venues and events are subject to inspection by NYRR, contracted private security personnel, venue personnel, and the NYPD.
Runner safety is a primary concern at all of our races. The marathon, a true test of endurance, requires preparation and planning by runners and event medical personnel.
This information is for athletes with disabilities (AWDs) who will be accompanied by guides, and guides who will be accompanying AWDs.
